Backtest on WebTrade

Regulatory disclaimer on simulated performance

Backtest results are simulated and hypothetical. They do not represent actual trading and cannot account for financial risk, slippage, liquidity variations, or execution delays inherent in live market conditions. Past simulated performance is no guarantee of future live trading results.

Backtest replays historical price data on your chart and lets you execute simulated trades using a local demo account. It is designed to help you backtest trading strategies, practice technical analysis setups, and gain confidence with platform order types without risking real capital.

Key points before you start

  • Purely local simulation: Every order you place in Backtest stays inside your browser memory. Nothing is transmitted to live servers, no real money is involved, and your actual trading history remains unaffected.
  • 1-minute tick resolution: The simulation engine runs on 1-minute (M1) historical candles. Higher chart timeframes (H1, D1, W1) are aggregated dynamically from these bars, ensuring accurate intraday order fills and trigger evaluations.
  • Frozen live market: Live streaming market prices are paused while in Backtest mode. A Back Test watermark appears on the chart to indicate you are operating in a simulated environment.

60-second quick start

1. Click the Backtest button on the top chart toolbar to launch simulation mode.

2. Choose whether to carry over your active Trader's Guard risk rules to the simulation session.

3. Click the Deposit chip (or + button) to configure your virtual demo balance and leverage before starting.

4. Click Select bar to pick a starting candle on the chart, or use Select date to jump to a specific date and time.

5. Click Play to start the candle replay. Submit orders via the order panel, manage positions, and monitor your P&L curve in real time.

6. Click End to fast-forward to the present, review your comprehensive performance statistics, and click Exit when finished.
